Dubai, UAE – 13 to 15 May 2025 – Police Colonel David Martinez Vinluan, Executive Director of the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, participated in the Board of Trustees sessions of the prestigious World Police Summit, marking a significant milestone in ASEANAPOL’s growing role in global policing dialogue. His involvement underscores his leadership in fostering regional cooperation and strategic law enforcement initiatives to address transnational crime.

The World Police Summit, held annually in Dubai, serves as a premier global platform that brings together senior police leaders, security experts, and industry stakeholders to address emerging threats, share best practices, and drive innovation in policing. The newly established Board of Trustees (BOT) is expected to provide advice and strategic direction for the future of the World Police Summits, helping shape agendas that are relevant, forward-looking, and impactful for the global law enforcement community.

Executive Director Vinluan actively participated in round table discussions with senior UAE officials and fellow BOT members, offering insights into ASEANAPOL’s collaborative strategies, regional challenges, and success stories in combating cross-border crimes such as cybercrime, human trafficking, and illicit drug networks. His contributions reinforced the importance of multilateral cooperation, capacity-building, and information-sharing in modern policing.
