ASEANAPOL Secretariat Explores Collaborative Opportunities with Royal Malaysia Police and Alpine Integrated Solutions – AISSE 2025

On November 21, 2024, at 2:30 PM, the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, led by Executive Director Police Colonel David Martinez Vinluan, hosted a courtesy visit. Accompanying him were Police Service Officer I DSP Abdul Hamid Abdul Hashim, Police Service Officer II ASP Nithia Perumal, and Plans and Programs Officer II Engku Nurul 'Aini Engku Malek. The visiting delegation included representatives from the Royal Malaysia Police's (RMP) Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID), headed by DSP Saunders Henry Xavier and accompanied by DSP Shahriman Saari, as well as Alpine Integrated Solutions Sdn Bhd, represented by Mrs. Anita Jacobson and Mr. Aizad Ali.
The meeting centered on ASEANAPOL Secretariat’s potential involvement in the Inaugural Asia International Security Summit & Expo 2025 (AISSE '25) and the Cybercrime Prevention Summit, scheduled for January 20-22, 2025, at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). Discussions also highlighted the Secretariat’s recent engagements and ongoing initiatives.
Key topics included updates on the ASEAN High Table Dialogue preparations, where invitation letters had been issued to the Chiefs of ASEAN National Police forces during the October 2024 ASEANAPOL Conference in Myanmar. These were subsequently followed by email invitations sent to ASEANAPOL Contact Persons.
The ASEANAPOL Secretariat acknowledged the valuable opportunities provided by AISSE '25, including the allocation of an expo booth to promote ASEANAPOL’s initiatives and foster regional security collaboration. Additionally, the Secretariat expressed readiness to contribute as a panel member for the ASEAN High Table Dialogue. Executive Director Police Colonel David Martinez Vinluan and Sr. Lt. Col. Nguyen Huu Ngoc, Director for Plans and Programmes, were identified as panellists for the Cybercrime Thematic Dialogues.
The ASEANAPOL Secretariat reaffirmed its commitment to actively supporting and participating in AISSE 2025, underscoring its dedication to the success of both the AISSE '25 and the Cybercrime Prevention Summit. The meeting concluded on a positive note, emphasizing a shared commitment to strengthening collaboration and addressing regional security challenges. Both parties expressed their enthusiasm for sustained engagement to ensure a united approach to regional security.
