On May 16, 2024, the ASEANAPOL Secretariat hosted a significant meeting at its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur with three representatives from MOODY'S Singapore: Mr. Roy Chan, Head of Corporate and Government ASEAN; Mr. Dominic Wong, Data, Intelligence & Investigation Specialist Public Sector ASEAN; and Mr. Kelvin Lim, Director, Head of Defence, Intelligence & Law Enforcement Asia Pacific & Middle East.
The meeting
focused on Moody's provision of data, intelligence, and analytical tools to help business and financial leaders make confident decisions. The reimagined brand heralds a new chapter for Moody's commitment to customers, emphasizing quality innovation, insightful analysis, and industry-leading expertise. Moody's new vision positions the brand for the new era of exponential risk we live in.
The ASEANAPOL Secretariat's Executive Director, Police Colonel David Martinez Vinluan, warmly welcomed the Moody's team and praised their informative presentation. He expressed enthusiasm about potential collaboration with Moody's to enhance police investigations, particularly regarding the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing, and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (AMLA). Also attending from the Secretariat were Police Superintendent Azrul Hisham Mohd Shaffei, Head of Administrative and Technical Staff; DSP Suresh Subramaniam, Plans and Programmes Officer I; and Assistant Superintendent Police Engku Nurul Aini Engku Malik.
