7TH ASEANAPOL CONTACT PERSONS MEETING ON 5-9 DECEMBER 2016, HOLIDAY VILLA JOHORE BAHRU, JOHORE, MALAYSIA

The 7th ACPM was successfully held from 5-9 December 2016 in Johore Bahru, Johore, Malaysia. This annual meeting which gathers all designated contact persons from Member Countries, Dialogue Partners and Observers, discussed issues based on the recently concluded 36th ASEANAPOL Conference Joint Communique.

This particular meeting also has the privileged of having the Chief of Fiji Police Force, Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho in attendance as an Observer.

The meeting also had the opportunity to listen from 2 entities one from Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and Sportradar who had given a detailed presentation on the menace of football bribery with the topic of “Strengthening the Integrity of Football Gaming in Consonance with the Campaign against Illegal Gambling and Money Laundering”.

The meeting also listened to presentations made by ASEANAPOL Dialogue Partners amongst others from Ministry of Public Security of China, National Police Agency Republic of Korea, Ministry of Internal Affairs of The Russian Federation and ICPO-INTERPOL with regards to current and future collaborations with ASEANAPOL. The meeting ended with the Executive Director giving a closing remarks to all participating countries and wished all delegates a safe journey.
